i bought the rider link 1 year before.

my only great complain si about. cell phone cable. it is a (3.5mm 2 ring-3 conector). and moderm cell are (3.5mm or 2.5mm 3ring-4 conector.)

the problem with this is you can only hear the phone call but are not able to speak because the cell phone (nokia 5800 xpress music) only recognize as a spearker and not as a handfree.

but the way this is a good trick.. i use the nokia as mp3 and gps too. (less device on road.good suguestion is to put all togetter in a tank bags because it has many cables.

but. is very good device for the price. comunication betwen passanger. at high spedd. (about 80miles).

i think fm radio is uless, and the device could be smaller. and thiner

When I bought these glasses, I was dubious about the way the temple supports locked to the lens.Surely a product with a warranty will hold up.

I took them out for two bike rides, and stored them in their case between rides.I've had them for just over three weeks.No impacts, no drops, nothing of note whatsoever.

I took them out of their case today and noticed two large cracks emanating from the hole the temple supports locked in.I had to ride with, as they were the only pair I had with me.By the time I finished my 25 mile ride, the cracks had extended nearly to the perimeter of the lens.

I am very disappointed with this product.

I bought these grips to get rid of some of the numbness I experience when on a longer motorcycle ride. They work GREAT!! Very easy to install as well on my Honda VTX. I read several methods of installing them, and I used double sided carpet tape instead of the super glue that comes in the kit. Take off the old grips, put one layer of carpet tape on the handle bars, wet the tape with a little mineral spirits, and the grips slide right on. I made a mark to reference where I wanted the grips before installing the tape, and let them dry overnight before using. Tape is working great, similar to golf club grip tape.

CRUZTOOLS TOOL KIT H-D V-ROD EKVR1 Review

I ordered this after a friend turned up with a kit for his Beemer that I liked and thought a smart idea.The tool kit is specific to a VRod in having metric and english tools.All tools appear to be of reasonable quality and should last for their intended use as a backup set (this is not a mechanics grade kit but the tools are quaranteed for life and better then the normal cheap quality tools out there).These tools are smaller then full size but just right for packing.I am adding a Leatherman to round out this kit but it seems otherwise complete and at ~$50 it beats pulling tools out of my regular tool box to take with me.

I haven't had a chance to use them yet and hope to keep it that way but a must have for longer trips.

There really is not a lot to say about a regulator gauge.It either works or it does not.That said, this is a very good gauge to use with your paint guns.Just mount it to the gun directly between the air hose and the gun itself, and dial in the pressure you are looking for.Make sure you spray a bit of air through the gun to see what your working pressure is going to stabilize out at, before you start spraying.All in all a great gauge and regulator with no complaints at all.

KURYAKYN MIRROR SCYTHE 1449 Review

I originally had the Yamaha shop install them, but since they were still loose and screwed up still I re-installed them the second time... it wasn't the dealer. The first problem I had was that the stems loosened up, that was because the set screws don't seem to work. The set screws are steel and the threads that they go in to are steal, I've replaced one stem and now both are loose. That's three stems that are screwed up. The other problem is that it's very hard to adjust the mirrors due to them moving every time I tighten up the mirror screws which moves the mirrors and then I can't move the mirrors. Back to square one. The first stem I had replaced because the threads were toast due to the set screw and there was excesive chrome on it. The right mirror now has a stripped screw and I didn't even tighten it very tight. Both mirrors move when I get above 80mph with mild head winds. I'm taking them off tomorrow and getting a refund. Bottom line... their lemons. Waste of time, money, effort, and undue stress. Thanks Kuryakyn. Now I know why people call them Crappyakyn.

EBC ROTOR REAR #MD1077 MD1077 Review

Was looking for a replacement rotor for the rear of a 1500 Goldwing. Dealer was outragous!
I went looking on the web and found the EBC catalog online. Once I found the part number, searched the web. Found several sites that offered rotor cheaper, but shipping costs were a factor. I found Amazon and they had the best overall price, ordered it and it was delivered long before the promised date. The rotor fit perfectly with the only difference is that cooling holes are directional. You have to install correctly or it will be noisey. When I need replacement brakes & rotors, I'll look to EBC.

CLYMER MANUAL HARLEY 00-05 M4232 Review

This book covers majority of what you'd like to fix / replace on your Harley.I can tell you it's missing some simple steps for rookies such as "How to remove the handle grips."

You won't always find the info your looking for in the section you'd think to find it. But it's probably in the book none the less.

Great for working down in the garage, however a PDF version would be nice so you can search for what you need and save yourself a lot of time.

Definitely the authoritive Harley repair manual.

4 out of 5 stars for me! But well worth the money. (Take your bike to Harley one time when the warranty runs out and you'll understand.)

MEMPHIS SHADES 17``ROADKING REP.PLAST SLR MEP6229 Review

I bought this windshield (my second Memphis Shades screen) to replace the original OEM screen on my Harley Road King.The OEM version was just a bit too tall and the edge of it was right in my sight line when I was riding and was very annoying.So I just wanted something a couple of inches lower.

The Harley screen was around $160.The Memphis Shades version was $92!

When I got the screen I immediately noticed it was made of a heavier (thicker) lexan material than the OEM screen which I really like as it's very beefy and complements the bike very well.Also, the mounting holes lined up perfectly with my original hardware and the holes themselves are reinforced with grommets to stop the lexan from splitting, which I thought was a very nice feature.

I elected to buy the "Solar" tinted screen which just has a very light even tint all over it and it looks really fantastic on the bike.

The height is now perfect and I couldn't be happier with my purchase.This screen is a million times better quality than the Harley version at almost half the price.This is the second one I've bought (the first was for my wife's Honda Shadow) and they have both been fantastic.I would defintely recommend this brand to anyone now.

MOTUL OIL 300V 10W40 SYNESTR 4L 836141 Review

I have 3 bikes, an '06 R1, '01 GSXR 1000, and a heavily modded '02 GSXR 600. I was using a full synthetic that cost me over $100 per oil change, but switched to Motul 300V factory last year. The only reason I bought it at first was because of all the great reviews it got and because it was a fraction of the cost. After my first oil change with it my temp dropped 20 degrees F at idle, and 17 degrees F while riding! I could immediately tell the bike was running smoother, especially when shifting (wet clutch) and when I put it on the dyno I gained nearly 3HP!

I can't describe just how good this stuff really is, you have to try it to believe it! It uses a special technology using a double ester synthetic unlike any other oil out there, and is polorized making it magnetically 'bond' to the metal. It can't be sheared or scraped off the surface once it's on the metal, I had to wash my hands for nearly 20 minutes to get the stuff off!

I also highly recommend Motul's RBF600 brake fluid, and Redline Water Wetter for any bike or car whether it's built or you just want it to last...

Black Drivers Motorcycle Backrest to fit Corbin Seats Review

When searching for a Corbin backrest, I was discouraged at the high costs for something that will be used in the rare cases that I have a passenger.
At a third of the price of a brand name product, I bit.

It is made from pleather'.The grain and color is a good match to my corbin seat.The stitching is flawless and the is no visable zipper on the bottum.It comes with a bolt to secure it to the seat and eliminate theft.Although I have not used it yet, there is a screw to adjust the angle of the backrest as well.

I tried it for 2 hours one day while sitting on my bike at a rally, and fount it to be quite comfortable and plush.

The only negatives I could think of are outweighed by the great price.This includes the fact that pleather could fade after a year of direct sunlight, but this is unknown on this product, and the pleather is more sensitive to scratching as I found out after securing a bungee cord to it.

J & M DRIVE/PASS AUDIO SYSTEM JMCB-2003-DU Review

I purchased the JMCB2003DU a few months ago.Since the dealer wanted four hours of labor to install, I decided to install it myself.Six hours later, it was installed and worked well, but I wished I had gone the expense of having the dealer install the device.

We hook in our Garmin Nuvi 350 for both GPS and music capabilities.Sound quality is dependant on your headset. On my half helmet the stereo is tinny, but with my Nolan N-42 the sound is as good as any stereo headset I use.So I am pleased with the stereo function.

The intercom was the main reason we bought this unit, and it does a fantastic job.The intercom is on all the time, and while I thought that I would not like that, it turns out we love the always on intercom.Again, the sound quality is dependant on your helmet headset.With a full visor there is very little wind noise, and even with a half helmet you can communicate effectively up to about 70 MPH.Past that you can still communicate, but the half helmet headset gets a little difficult from windnoise.

The CB is a great addition as well. CB is not as popular as it once was, but I rode down Arizona's beeline highway talking with a trucker recently.The range was effectively 3-5 miles and the trucker kept commenting on how surprised he was that the CB was so clear on a bike.more than once he questioned me about being on a bike.Finally I pulled in front of him and waved and then talked.He claimed the sound was a clear and wind-noise free as any CB he used.That was from a Nolan N-42 helmet with a full visor and the upgraded J&M headset.

I would buy this unit again, and recommend it highly.My wife, who does not enjoy gadgets, enjoys being able to communicate on the bike now.

MagnaFlow 14816 Street Series Polished Stainless Steel Oval Muffler with Tip Review

Bottom line: its raspy.I chose the cheap alternative to a performance exhaust for my BMW and I somewhat regret it.The sound is deep, but the tone is not that great for an I-6 engine.I am probably going to bite the bullet and spend $800 on an RPI exhaust for my 530 instead.This Magnaflow has a lot of drone and the other bummer was the inlet size was 2 1/4" compared to the 3" pipe coming out of my engine.So, it resulted in an overall restriction which caused me to lose low-end torque.

I'm getting rid of this thing, sadly.. =(

Custom Body Side Moldings for Toyota Prius 2010 (070 Blizzard Pearl) Review

Toyota for some reason doesn't offer body side moldings for a lot of their cars in the United States.They have them in Germany, but you can't get them here.Fortunately, there are a few after market companies that are making them.Dawn Enterprises happens to be one of them.Most of the after market body side moldings start at $130.The only reason I selected this particular set of body side moldings was price.Amazon sells them for $99 with approximately $5 for shipping...great price.

The moldings were delivered in a really heavy tube (appox 1/8" thick) so the product is well protected.It's packed inside of a long sock, so he moldings won't get scratched.Almost everything you need is included in the kit (Alcohol wipes and a tube of Pro-Bond).All you need to supply is something to measure with, some masking tape (to use as an alignment guide) and something to wipe you car with that won't scratch the paint.

Each molding is pre-painted using the factory color codes.In my case, Blizzard Pearl (070).The color of the molding matched my car perfectly -- I was very pleased.The molding is attached using 3M double adhesive (pre-installed on the molding).

Putting on the moldings was really easy.Just take your time and follow the instructions and you'll get a really nice, factory looking installation.If you want to see the instructions before you buy these, just go to Dawn's website [...] and you can download it.

Amazon doesn't have a picture that represents the actual installation, so I'll try to put up some of my own.
