National Cycle NAT.CYCLE FENDER TIPS, REAR Body Other KAWASAKI VN900 CUSTOM - N7020 Review

I bought the kits for the front and rear fenders, and since the rear ones are a bit easier to center, I put that one on first just to see how it looks.I like the way it dresses up that rear tip on the VN900 custom... kind of completes the look with the customized light dingleberry below it.I raised my license plate and put on a Radiantz frame with LED plate lights, so I didn't have much working room for the fender trim... kind of hard to get in there to tighten the nut without taking off the black plastic that remains under the fender tip.But I got 'er done and it's nice.The chrome is not as bright and shiny as the plastic chrome parts, but it's not really that much different.I'm happy with it and anxious to get the front fender trim on.

The only difficulty I had was sliding it into final place without the scotch doublesided tape grabbing... one side is about 1/8" lower than the fender edge, but only noticeable to me, I'm sure.

All in all I recommend this mod for the Vulcan 900 Custom rear fender.

Street and Performance Electronics 93002 Helix Power Tower Plus Throttle Body Spacer 1996-2001 Mitsubishi Eclipse 2.4L 4G64 Review

First of all, the installation instructions are very bad. The verbose tells you what to do, but because the illustrations (simple pictures without any callouts) leaves you to guess what is they are referring to.Also, no indication at all what way should it be installed (there are two possible ways to install the spacer, I'm sure one of them wrong!)I have previously installed throttle spacers from Poweraid on two other vehicles, and even their instructions are not perfect, they are better that those from Street Performance.

The second problem is that the components do not really fit without modifications.The aluminum bracket (the one with four holes in the picture) is too thick, so it forces the throttle cable bracket into the input manifold. At that point the holes in the aluminum bracket do not align with the holes in the throttle cable bracket.I didn't want to drill the cable bracket that's part of the input manifold!

The third problem is that there is a hose coming from the manifold into the throttle body assembly and once you place the spacer between the manifold and the throttle body, that hose is a bit too short.You could force it, but being made of soft rubber it won't last (potential for trouble).

The fourth problem is that the internal diameter of both gaskets that come with this product is smaller than the internal diameter of the inlet of the input manifold, and also smaller than the internal diameter of the throttle body and the spacer.Who designs these things?

I spent well over two hours trying to install it, then had to fall back to the original installation. As I mentioned previously, when I installed two different kits from Poweraid on two other vehicles, it took me about half an hour on each and both fitted nicely.Maybe the other Street Performance kits are better than this, but don't bother with this one.

DOWCO GUARDIAN WEATHERALL PLUS COVER LG #5000302 50003-02 Review

Much better than my old Nelson-Riggs.
It's been in use for the past 9 months and shows very little
fading, if any. Fits PERFECTLY over my Harley Superglide even
with windscreen and small saddlebags.

Overall, not a bad cover.... But it could be a GREAT COVER if:
It let less moisture through.Their advertising brags that
there unique ventilation and waterproof material keeps your bike
dry. Not necessarily true.
1) the plastic vent cover sits flat against the actuall holes restricting
the air flow. I had to cut a plastic bottle in half and kind of
tape it in there so the holes could breathe. With out that there
is condensation build up.
2) there is only one set of plastic gromets to run a cable lock
through. It'd be nice if there was another pair up around the
front wheel.I can still get my 6' kryptonite cable through the
2 plastic gromets-through the front wheel-and back into itself,
but it'd be nice to have a 4 point tie down.

For the money it's a great alternative to cheaper covers or leaving your
bike out in the elements.And it's a much higher quality cover than
The Nelson Riggs covers I've had.

National Cycle NAT.CYCLE FENDER TIPS, FRT Body Other KAWASAKI VN900 CUSTOM - N7019 Review

These are heavy duty, nicely cast and well made.Looks like the chrome is deep enough to last a long time.I suggest you remove the fender to install instead of drilling through toward the tire, even though they warn to put something in there to block the drill from giving you a flat... easy to remove the front fender of the Custom and mine wasn't aligned to center properly anyway...center will be very obvious once you put these on!They provide little paper-doll type templates for you to use to place the hole which are pretty clumsy, and guess what... they're printed on both sides of the same sheet of paper... that doesn't work even with paper dolls!

edit:I changed to a 90/90 tire after buying these and had to raise the fender a little to keep the front from hitting the tire (bolt points thru the fender and sticks out toward the tire)... easy enough to extend the fender mounting holes enough to make it work.

i bought this for my car while i was in iraq. whne i went home on my 2 week leave i busted out the tools and poped open the hood and went to workin on it....like 3min later throttle body was off...opened up the obx spacer and placed it on top tried to match the holes up and not even 2 holes matched..so i got angry and busted out the thinking beer and just couldnt get it to fit so in turn the product will NOT FIT a STOCK SVT throttle body. product title lied...one more thing is the decription says includes any hardware necessary the only thing i received with mine was product and gaskets... no longer screws to make up the spacer difference...if you buy this and it fits your throttle body let me know so i can give you a spare..lol..great price for a spacer paper weight for me

1986-1995 Nissan Datsun Hard Body Pickup Right Side Front Only Chrome Inside Door Handle Dark Blue Casing,= replaces OEM Review

Carefully pressed the pin out to swap chrome handle into my existing door handle casing.Looks great. The casing that was advertised dk blue was totally black. Seller was unaware as product was shipped from third party supplier.At least by using my existing casing, I had a perfect color match and now with a shiny chrome metal handle instead of the colored plastic stock ones in my 1991 Nissan D21 pickup.I was able to swap the chrome handle and its new spring into my exisiting casing. Fit perfectly as the old and new were same size.

After removing the door pannel, bolting the new handle in was easy. It was just a bit of piddling hassle to put in the spring with the chrome handle into my old casing because it was to be mounted under tension. The chrome part is durable metal. Gave 3 stars only because of casing not advertised color.

My 2004 Honda Accord mirror got broken after being run into by a deer and I needed a replacement. I found this at a decent price on Amazon. I ordered the mirror and it was received promptly and in good condition. With the help of a nut driver this mirror was easily replaced. There are 2 minor issues that were observed.
1. The mirror has a tendency to shake while driving. I never noticed this with the factory mirror.
2. This mirror is fixed and does not swivel like the factory mirror. By swiveling, I mean that you can push the mirror in so that it doesn't stick out.

These are minor issues, but something you should know if you buy this mirror.

Street and Performance Electronics 24055 Helix Power Tower Plus Throttle Body Spacer Review

This piece is a cheap and easy way to ad some more horses under the hood.
Easy to install, I did it in like an hour but I have a good set of tools, even a torquemeter for the correct adjustment of the bolts. Remember that in a vehicle you have a correct force to every nut and bolt.
I did have to buy two extra bolts for the final adjustment, I felt it needed longer ones with the spacers.
The performance of the vehicle is increased just the bit that that engine needs for hills and off road action.

Spectre 2228 Pro-Plumbing Fuel Filter Review

Hood 98-02 Chevy Camaro Ss Model 98 99 00 01 02 1998 1999 2000 2001 2002 Review

Hey,

I bought this SS hood back in April 2010 and I received it fairly fast probably within a week and a half. The overall strength of the hood is okay but it seems that it needed more rigidity to it since it felt to fragile.

Also, I think the shipping was not done correctly since it seems that when ever they fitted the hood into the box to ship it they used a stapler to staple the edges of the box while doing that the hood probably got strike by one of the staples and it broke so it had minor damage consistent to that of a small object striking it i.e like a staple. Also at the corners of the hood it was also damage due to shipping it was minor damage that could easily be fixed.

I contact Pershing Auto Body Parts and told them about the minor imperfections. They said that they would refund some money since the hood was damaged, well its been about one month and a week and I have yet to receive any refund. So I'm still waiting to hear from them!!

Quality remanufactured fuel injectors that are electronically tested for correct electrical resistance and for coil weakness. Good units are then disassembled (micro filter, seals, pintle caps and plastic spacer are removed.)Injectors are simultaneously cleaned in ultrasonic tanks specially designed to clean fuel injectors. All units are individually back flushed to remove the broken dirt particles, these particles can not be removed thru the injection orifices therefore are driven out thru the inlet of the injector. All injectors are then mounted on the flow bench in an inverted position to allow them to reverse flow at a considerable pressure. We run a high performance injector cleaning solvent thru the injectors for 30 minutes, completing the cleaning process. This process assures all dirt particles are completely removed from the injector. Injectors are now mounted on the flow bench in the correct position to begin the testing procedures. We apply 60 PIS of pressure (more than a regular multi-port fuel injection system) and maintain the injectors with no signal to them for 30 seconds to make sure there are no leaks. Injectors are then assembled with new replaceable components (filter baskets, pintle caps, O-rings and seals) and a final test is performed with all new components on injectors. The item was received in good condition and in a decent time. It turned out to be the wrong item (my fault, not theirs). The refund process was simple enough and a refund was prompt.

However, it didn't seem as though the seller (DLI)was very knowledgeable about automotive parts - I needed to explain to them, on the 3 or 4 times that they called, what the difference was in the style of lenses for that year and model. I ended up having to call them with the part number for the correct part so that they would quit calling.

When I returned the item, I learned that the shipping charge was excessive, also. I don't like doing business with vendors who will pad the shipping charges. It seems this is done to either entice the buyer with a lower initial price on the item, making up the difference in shipping and "handling" charges, or they do it as a cushion, should the item be returned, so they would still make something on the sale.

when I needed to get a replacement fender for the Honda Del Sol, I first got a fiberglass fender from "NRG Motortrend". What crooks! The fender did not fit at all, and I showed the manager Kevin Ma, and he agreed that it did not fit. He reluctantly said that he would give me my money back when I left the fender at their "warehouse". After more than twenty phone calls to him, I have yet to get my money back! Luckily, they are not selling those fenders anymore on Amazon! So glad that I did not get the full body kit from them! That would have been $400 down the drain to those CROOKS!

I then purchased this thin sheet metal replacement fender. And it fit. First time. Not OEM, but it fit. The fiberglass fender did not fit at all! Should have got this one first time instead. Wish I never bought anything from NRG Motortrend, those CROOKS!
