Rugged Ridge 11025.04 Black Mirror Relocation Bracket - Pair Review

Rugged Ridge 11025.04 Black Mirror Relocation Bracket - PairFirst, the quality is substandard as the weld on the drivers side bracket is shoddy and not smooth. The finish is OK but the top of one bracket appeared to be damaged (chipped) during shipping because of the packing. The instructions tell you to move the mirrors back and forth and that "force" may be needed to remove the OEM mirrors from their brackett. Both my mirrors broke in one way or another and the manufacturer refused to step up and send new mirrors or even new posts for the broken one. The original story they told was all the mirrors are the same and they never had problems with removal. The story changed to "some" OEM mirrors sold in the Northeast or near "water" such as Michigan have a slot in the post receiver assembly preventing the post from twisting in the OEM bracket. This is what causes the mirrors to break and is not even mentioned casually in the written directions. I'll need to take the case to small claims to get any satisfaction. They where very unhelpful over the phone, even argumentative and at first insisting there was no such slot. There "new" explanation is the post "lifts" straight up to remove. Stay away. Poor design, the passenger side mirror is barely visible in the new location and the customer service is deplorable. I'll be sending mine back. No doubt I'll be charged a restocking fee. John F.
