These are heavy duty, nicely cast and well made.Looks like the chrome is deep enough to last a long time.I suggest you remove the fender to install instead of drilling through toward the tire, even though they warn to put something in there to block the drill from giving you a flat... easy to remove the front fender of the Custom and mine wasn't aligned to center properly anyway...center will be very obvious once you put these on!They provide little paper-doll type templates for you to use to place the hole which are pretty clumsy, and guess what... they're printed on both sides of the same sheet of paper... that doesn't work even with paper dolls!edit:I changed to a 90/90 tire after buying these and had to raise the fender a little to keep the front from hitting the tire (bolt points thru the fender and sticks out toward the tire)... easy enough to extend the fender mounting holes enough to make it work.
