It seems that my Passat reached the point where every piece of plastic and electronics in it fails. I used the Dorman window regulator as a perfect fit for the original kit. It is a bit laborious to install, but I saved over $300 dollars with this DIY. I have been using it for the last 6 months and works perfectly.
